It is all around the world. I have gained weight since I moved here. About 10 pounds. People who are neighbors tell me that I look different than when I first come here. although I do have blonde hair and blue eyes, and am fairly tan. Guys just don't look at me the same. This is when I blame Aphrodite, for being so perfect, that artist display her beauty, and then that is all men could think about. This is when women started jealousy of her body and looks. I just think that beauty is on inside and you can tell when someone is fake.

I think most people have their own opinions, and are honest enough with themselves to seek out what appeals to them, individually.
Of course, there are some who desire the current trend in what's considered attractive. They want the flat hips, the fake breasts, and the bleached hair. I say, let them have it.
I wouldn't want someone who looks no further than surface beauty, anyway. My brown hair, brown eyes, and round hips suit me just fine.
And that's all that matters.

I've never been attracted to that type.. (I even rebelled... I was born blonde haired and blue eyed.. perfect little german genes.. I dyed my hair when I turned 14.. didn't stop until about 5 years ago) I am attracted to more primal attributes in women.. (and not reallly into guys outside of friendship)

I don't think society can make us believe anything. We choose what we believe and what we let affect us. I agree that we should all embrace our different views because there's no such thing as perfect.

I like who I like, and no society will dictate otherwise
to ANY of us who are smart enough to think for ourselves.
Give me a woman--brunette!--with smarts, compassion,
a zesty sense of laughs and quirks of humanity over
the stupidity we're spoonfed through massmedia
any day of any week.

You can believe beauty as anything you want to.
I agree with you. I don't feel "pretty" when I'm being compared to Angelina Jolie, Jessica Simpson, or Beyonce.
