If you want an American made car now you have to buy a Toyota. Chevrolet is made in Mexico. Last year the Mexican factory workers at VW in Mexico went on strike to get thirty dollars a day in wages. So why are the prices the same as if they were made in Germany. Same with G.M. If they move off shore why are we paying on shore prices.
Additional: I have three pre- 1960 cars and one pre 1940. I can do a tune up for under 50 bucks. One spark plug for the new cars today cost almost as much as my whole tune up. The new cars use computer chips. I use a feeler gauge.

Originally, the Volkswagen was manufactured in Germany. It hasn't been that way for a long time. The biggest manufacturer of Volkswagens is the country of Brazil.
Only Boobus Americanus would be "misled" by the statement "German Engineered".

via fact perhaps the guy speaking will possibly not understand if the guy they are speaking approximately is English Irish or German. Like i'm Irish, yet a German man or woman will possibly not have the capacity to recognize the accessory and might think of i'm English.

No it is not misleading...It says German Engineered..not made in Germany.....What it says is that they have used German technology and German engineers to build them in Mexico.

The car could have been 'engineered' in Germany, and is just being assembled in Mexico. -RKO- 07/18/07
