This is going to sound crazy and I can't even believe it myself but out of nowhere I've discovered this pianist who's been dead since before I was born. I can't stop thinking about this man, I can't get the image of him out of my head, his music is practically haunting me and somehow every single thing I see relates to him.
Does anyone have any experience in this? Or do you know what it could be? It's honestly driving me crazy because as far as I can tell, he was the complete polar opposite of me and his life was entirely classical music -- which mine is not -- so it's hard for me to even delve into caring about him and what he was about or any of the interviews he's done because they're just so technical. And yet, I can't seem to shake this feeling that I've got to know more, I've got to find stuff out. It's so ridiculous.
As a disclaimer, I've never had any "encounters" with ghosts or whatever and don't really believe in it. I just am curious what this could be other than me crazy.

Also, HONEST and REAL answers would be appreciated. For an otherwise caring and productive member of society, I'm just looking for an option that might relate more to a metaphysical sense than me losing my mind because of a dead pianist.

Your question is not crazy, at all. First, I will suggest that you check out the Michael Crichton novel "Timeline", the part in which a scientist, left behind, in the present, is trying to solve the technical problem of devices called "Water Shields", used in a time travel device. The scientist keeps "seeing" race car tires burst, in his mind. This is NOT because the man is a racing enthusiast, but because of how a variation, of the race car blow-outs, could help the science experiment be safely completed. In your case, I suggest you consider how MUSIC may play a part in your life. It could be something about a career choice, or it could be another soul searching for some secret thing, which you seek. I suggest that you take some time to think about what parts of your life might be similar to this pianists life. NOT what year you LIVE in, but, what kind of life, hopes, or desires, you may have. The "key" you seek may be found in a wide variety of things which might be similar to the pianist. It might even be a "soul mate". The possibilities are limitless. I hope that this helps.

If you think its a haunting, have an investigation team come to your house. Preferably one that does not deal with psychics or sensitives solely. If you can avoid that all together that would be great. Wouldn't want some sort of negative energy brought into your house by a stranger that didn't know what they were doing.
If you believe in past lifes, try to seek out someone to do a regression. This person may have been a past life, a relative you're connected to some how, or could possibly just be a guide you have in life.

I had a singular experience with an old photo of a woman I did not know. I saw her photo at a yard sale, it was for sale and I wanted to by it but did not have the money. There was something about this woman, I felt as though I knew her, but I knew that was not possible because she died like 100 years before I was born
I dream about her some times, interesting dreams where we are walking and talking, I never remember what was said.
I do not think you are crazy at all. Follow the leads and gather info. You never know if you were him in a past life (I know I have lived before) or you knew him in a past life. Going crazy not following your thirst for info on him IS crazy.

Yeh well I will say that such sounds like obcessive compulsive behavior in a rather mild form yet. Of course that does not make you crazy, many people go thru various forms of that although yours sounds to be a little more than the usual. The religious answer would be that you were being pestered by an uncleran spirit or a demon, and if you are Christian you know you have power over the demons to cast them out. The secular answer would be that you should gain control of your own thoughts, and reject any compulsive behavior that is illogical, because it is really stupid to think about or participate in something that you do not really want to, especially if there is no visable motivation for you to be doing so, wouldn't you agree?
I would think about my boyfriend, or even some handsome movie star if I felt the urge to think about the pianist, instead of just giving in and allowing my thoughts to lead me around like a yo yo, I would direct my thoughts where I choose for them to go, by finding something at least more pleasant to think on, and optimally even maybee educatiojnal and pleasant?
But if I could not do that on my own, then I would surely get into the bible and see if I couldn'ty learn how to talk to Jesus, and gain the spiritual power where I could drive such cumpulsive thoughts away from myself. Because such things even at there very best can only lead to unghappiness.
When a young kid on a paper route I went thru compulsive behavior for awhile, so I know the unpleasant aspect of that, but I just got over it by finally getting tired of all the foolishness, and saying a prayer to the Lord.
You have control over your own thoughts, but you do have to exercise it sometimes. Just like you do not go to the bathroom every time you get the urge when you are in an inconvient circumstance to do so, but you exercise your will to use your mind to decide to wait until you have better opportunity to do so, so also can you exercise your mind to tell yourself that you will not participate in the foolishness of worrying about freaking dead pianists.

Oh goodness i feel the same way people will think im crazy but recently for the last month or so i have been contacting this dead spirit that a friend said was haunting her and right after finding out how the spirit died, i cant get it out of my mind either but it did leave once we asked it toNO JOKE my advice is to buy a ouija (wee Gee) board from any store and use it to contact the spirit it is not scary, it is real, and you will be ridded of the spirit

This dead pianist is yourself in a previous reincarnation. You are still involved in music, but you chose to be reincarnated as who you are now, and are involved in a different form of music. However your soul is trying to educate you of your former involvement in music, and how wonderful it is. To rid yourself of this 'haunting', learn all you can of that music, and incorporate it into your thougthts. Your soul will then be complete and happy. And your music will be even more amazing. Don't run away or fear it, embrace it, and add it to you. Then happiness will come.

You're not losing your mind. I'm having a bit of a bad day, so I'm a bit too tired to think clearly, but I find myself wanting to tell you to look into similarities deeper down. Go with that feeling to know more. You might even look into family....is there any chance he might be related to you? Lived near you? You're right, though... somebody is trying to tell you somethinm. Trust those feelings and go with them. You'll find your answer in the end.

I doubt that it is a ghost problem. If it was you would be literaly seeing him, rather than being drawn to him. It is possilbe that you are experiencing a past life intruding on your consciousness in this one. Learn more, go as far with it as you want to, because there is a reason that you have fixated on him at this time. Perhaps his "influence" is what you need to evolve your current existance.

It could be hes interested in you.Spirits sometimes attatch to the living even when they did not know them in life usually because they are related to someone you know and want to know more about you or..in some cases they knew you in a past life.
