if you are used to driving an audi and you liked the driving dynamics and handling the they provided the the desicion is between the audi and BMW the lexus GS is great if you want to feel like your driving a boat their very plush but not comparible to the infinity let alone the two germans. AWD is great in the winter (i live in upstate NY and have an A6 quattro) quattro does perform a little better than BMWs awd system but either will be fine if your not pushing them to the limits. I think the A5/S5 is the best looking if you can get away with a 2 door if you want a 4 door you can probably find a nice used RS6 for around 55K (close to S5 pricing) and most are low milage (too bad BMW didnt make an AWD M5 that would give you anouther option) but from your list i would say Audi S5 and if you dont want to wait for it than the 335XI or Audi s4

It depends who is buying the car...
Choose the 335xi if you are the driver (sporty).
Choose the Infinity G35 if you are the wallet (value)
Choose the A5/S5 if you are the by-stander (looks)
Choose the GS350 if you are the passenger (comfort)
Sidenote 1: The S5 shouldn't be in this group. The "S" in Audi tranditionally only compares to the "M" models of BMW. So if you wanted, the 265hp V6 A5 would be the fair model to compare in here.
Sidenote 2: Remember that AWD is not a replacement for good winter tires. You can have all the wheels turning with full power and have absolutely NO GRIP. With good winter tires, even rear wheel drive will handle acceptably in snow. Whatever you choose, always put in the extra money for a set of winter tires.

You seem to be trying to compare cars that are really not at all alike.
the S5 is Audi's sportier version of the A5, which is Audi's version of the BMW 3 series coupe. The Lexus and Infinitis are larger than the 3 series sedan...
I'm suprised you didn't list the Infinity G37x AWD coupe.
Of the ones you've listed, I would have to say the BMW. The 335i is getting pretty much across the board great reviews. Heck, in the latest Car & Driver, it actually got higher scores in almost all marks when comparing it even to their more "hardcore" Z4 M coupe. It beat it around their test track!
Infinitis in general have a more "distant" feel as far as being a driver's car (the Lexus, even more so). For many, that's a good thing. Some people don't like being able to read the date on the dime they just drove over, through the vibrations in the steering. With all of their electronic aids, it's easier to drive an Infinity fast, but if you are a skilled driver, you can get more out of the BMW.
That said, the BMW will most likely be the most expensive to maintain, but the Audi might be close.
I'm going to say, as much as I like the styling of Audi's "5", I would say to not include it. The S would cost sooo much more than the A5, and if I were to buy an A5, I would buy the new TT. (note: I didn't like the old TT at all, so that's saying a lot)
As you go from BMW to Infinity to Lexus, you get more and more luxurious. That Lexus is going to be a plush highway cruiser, but the BMW is going to be the most "fun" to drive, and will feel like you are controlling it the most. The Infinity is a good balance.
Have you thought about the Lincoln MKZ (the MKX mentioned below isn't even a car...it's a crossover SUV, based on the Ford Edge, and it's not Mercury...it's Lincoln)? I know that technically, it's not much different than the Mazda 6, but because of that, it drives pretty well, I actually really like the styling, and the interior is pretty nice. It's cheaper than most of the others, and available in AWD, too.
edit: BTW: AWD or 4wd help you NONE in the corners, or with stopping. They only help give you grip while accelerating. That's pretty much it. Oh, and it can help you power out of corners sooner...but you still really woulndn't want to push something like that on public roads...

The G35 has good reliability and looks better than the Lexus. Plus the new G35 looks about twice as expensive as it actually is. The Audi is very nice as well it would be my runner up to the G35. I wouldn't buy a three series because the 3 series sedan looks very cheap like a kia to me and also everybody and their brother has one - it's not very original.

It all depends on the room you need.
out of the line up i would cross off the BMW, unless your single...
The Lexus 350IS is better than the GS
Audi is a great car
I would look at these two models and choose how much room your need versus the price
Please keep in mind that AWD is great but will not assist you in snow, rain ( as in it will not provide a safer trip) you can still hydroplane, run off the road

First budget? repair costs? AWD really needed/ or just fantasy desire? lastly warrantys/ bumper to bumper (include electrical-elactronics as most AWD's are electrical...most new cars feature tradtion control nowadays... and even lowly Saturns and VW's you have spend a lot to get a good vehicle.
Lastly consider American made! the new Mecury MKX has available AWD. AND MAY BE A LITTLE CHEAPER....

A BMW wouldn't do to well on the terrain, so I would go with the Infiniti, because it is actually sportier than the Lexus, and it is all wheel drive therefore it can perform well in bad weather conditions. It is a nice car to, and there is nothing wrong with it.

i've got offered all makes of autos and pushed very very nearly each and everything on wheels. you're no longer giving to many info approximately what concepts you choose. there are a number of sporty automated sedans you may purchase for $35K. question is although what you choose in it. working example a autos person-friendly kind could be 35K, yet once you upload concepts like GPS, leather-based, automated, 8cyl, Bose sound gadget, etc. etc. the cost unexpectedly is $40 six,000. What helpful aspects, engine length, etc. do you choose and the place do you reside.
