I've never heard that this was part of being admitted.

Not necessarily unless you are going to be doing sports. I had visited several colleges and each one told me that I would only be doing physicals if I was in a sports program. If your planing on staying in the dorms then they may ask you to get some shots but the shots are the same thing you had to get before starting kindergarten and those help defend off anything you may get from the other people who will be staying there as well. Your local heath department will help you with that stuff. The shots are the only thing I've heard that you need to get before starting college and that is only if your going to be staying in the dorms. Hope this helped you.

Most colleges claim to require physicals and certain shots, but no college can force you to do anything. Talk with your doctor about what they reccommend. Also consider, a regular physical is healthy anyway, though!
