i had no idea i couold get free prenatal care :O i am currently going to planned parenthood do they offer these services?? and thank you all for being so understanding. i have another question, im not sure how long i have been pregnant, does anyone know at what point morning sickness is supposed to kick in?? because i have been having it for atleast the past 3 days. and dont worry about me getting pressured into to having an abortion its out of the question. and i would consider adoption if i didnt think my baby would have a good family or a good life. but i know in the end my family would accept it and help me take care of it, they wouldnt be happy at first but they wouold always support me. and i do think of it as a surprise not a mistake :]

I would suggest calling Planned Parenthood & talking with a counselor, this way you would get all the help & resources you might need to answer all your questions. I'm sure you will reach the right decision. Take care.

#1) Once you're in the 2nd trimester, which is about 12 weeks, the risks for elective abortions become significantly higher.

#2) If you're thinking about keeping the baby, start eating healthy, you don't really need MORE, just HEALTHY. Take prenatal vitamins, no alcohol or drugs, and discuss any medicine you're taking with your doctor.

#3) You should see a doctor as soon as possible so they can help advise you, they might want to draw some baseline bloodwork, and do a general history and physical to make sure there aren't any serious problems with your health that could affect the baby. You might want to contact Planned Parenthood just to see what info they have.

Finally, your parents cannot force you to have an abortion. You might be surprised that your parents could be more supportive than you thought, even though their first reaction might be "crazy."

I wouldn't recommend abortion -- they are very scarring.

I WOULD recommend adoption. This baby needs a loving, stable, two-parent family and you need a chance to grow up -- get an education and pursue your dreams.

You should go to the doctor's now. There are free clinics available if you can't afford it.

I'm sure you're scared, but the sooner you tell your parents, unless they're total jerks, the better. You need some people helping you out.

And I'm serious about adoption.

If you are considering abortion seriously, please go to a crisis pregnancy center that counsels young girls. The abortion industry is a business that often does not give you all the information about what is going to happen -- they just want your money. They are very very persuasive and have multiple techniques to convince you that this is your only option.

Besides, you will be so proud of yourself for knowing that you chose to give your baby the best life possible. It will hurt for sure, but you can have the assuredness that you did the right thing.

You don't want an abortion. That comes through loud and clear. So don't be bullied by anyone into one. Not even your parents.Or the b/f's.
So you don't need to know when it's too late to have one do you.
The time to see your doctor is now. How in blazes can you be sure you are actualy preggas if you haven't seen a GP yet?
Don't smoke . Don't drink alcohol.
Don't do drugs of any kind.
Eat healthy. Your GP will advise you.
No I don't think youre a***** or something for getting pregnant at your age.Wasn't so long ago it was expected. Girl was considered left on the shelf if not wed by 17. Old maid at 22.
Barron tragedy if not preggas by 25 some how.
My cousin married a girl 16, He was 18. That was over 50 years ago and six kids later and ..well you get the picture. It can work.

It is not your parents decision whether you will have an abortion. It is your body and you are the only person who can make that decision.

Your parents know how hard it is to raise a child, even when you are finished with your education and established in your career, mature enough to handle the responsibility and have a good support system in your family. Knowing this, and wanting the best for you they may try to convince you to get an abortion. Because it is your body and your decision, I would not recommend waiting until too late to get an abortion before telling them. If you decide to go through with this pregnancy you are going to need all the help and support you can get, and you will only serve to alienate your parents if you try to hide this information from them. You need to show that you are maturing enough to handle this situation appropriately, and hiding the information is something a child would do. Facing difficulties head-on and showing an improvement in your decision-making skills is a good step.

As far as keeping your baby healthy, you should start taking pre-natal vitamins. If you have any regular vitamins around you can take those until you manage to get actual pre-natal vitamins. You can even take Children's chewables. Also, try to eat healthy and be sure that you do not drink, do not do drugs, do not drink caffeine, do not smoke or spend time around people who are smoking.

You should visit a doctor to confirm the pregnancy and get his/her advice on what is necessary for your individual case. Make sure that you ask any and all questions you have because the doctor will know more information about the specifics of your health history and will be able to give you information that is appropriate for your exact situation rather than the general information you can find online. It would even be a good idea to write down any questions you have so you can ask them right off your list to the doctor.

If you don't like the idea of an abortion but recognize that it might be extremely difficult for someone in your position to raise a child and give him/her all the benefits he/she deserves, adoption could be an option. Certain agencies will even allow you to help choose the adoptive parents and might give you the option of an open adoption in which you can still have contact with your child on occasion.

If you are going to be a mother soon it is important that you start to think like one. You probably would not want your child asking you what "wtf" stands for when he/she is 5 years old, so you should start thinking about speaking in a way that a mother would want her child to learn to speak.

Raising a child is a big responsibility. You need to get prepared by being sure not to neglect your studies. If your parents will help to continue to support you in your education you should go as far as you can, and to be sure you are studying something that can translate into an actual job.

Be sure that you talk to your doctor about birth control methods for after the pregnancy. I am assuming that the only 100% certain method (abstiinence) is probably not an option, so you should discuss other methods like the pill, the patch, the shot or an IUD which can be implanted in your uterus and prevent pregnancy for up to 10 years, but can also be removed in a simple office visit procedure if you should decide you are ready before that.

If you choose to bring this child into the world, you have a responsibility towards him or her to provide him/her with all the basic necessities as well as the more complicated things like love, affection, education. It will be much easier to provide these things if you only have one child to worry about.

You know this topic will give you some answers you do not want to hear....

I will start by saying I hate to see girls pregnant at such a young age and feel that if you are planning on being sexually active then you need to use birth control of some sort. Too late for you right now, I know. PLEASE READ ON!!!

I am assuming you know for sure and have done a home pregnancy test? If not then do one. I assume you missed your period but you do not say how late you are.

I will not preach to you as my son got his gf pregnant when she was 17 years old, he was 20. They had a baby boy who is now 5 years old. I wasn't told until a month before she was due. I suspected it for a few months, but my son gave me excuses about his gf's weight gain. I strongly advise against this choice about not telling Mom until you are 8 months along.

Having a baby is a lot of responsibility, lots of work, and very expensive. I advise you to tell Mom ASAP, if it is hard to talk to Mom is there another adult you can tell that will help you break the news to Mom? You really need to think this through. I think that in order to have an abortion it has to be done before 12 weeks.

Because you are a minor then Mom will need to know for you to go to the Doctors. Go to the doctors now, if you are sure you are pregnant. They will do a blood test to confirm that you are in fact pregnant. You will be put on prenatal vitamins, and have to go for many checkups until your due date. You need to eat healthy, no smoking, drinking or doing drugs.

Choices are:
1) Have the baby
2) Give it up for adoption
3) Abortion

Good Luck!!

******Added Note******
Calculating due date. Take the last month of your period subtract 3 months....take the day of your last period and add 7 days...this gives you an aproximation of your due date. Example: Your last period was June 5th then your due date will be March 12th.

Go talk to a doctor ASAP to find out how you should be caring for not only your baby, but yourself as well. Also ask the doctor the questions you are asking here- you are more likely to get a better answer. Good luck to you with your child and with sticking to your decision. And congrats on your new baby.
