So, I've never experienced a yeast infection to my knowledge, but right now I am having some discharge and a little itching. Neither are things that make my entire day uncomfortable or all that excessive, so I don't know that a yeast infection is the answer. In fact, at first I thought I was just irritated from a little stubble like I see from time to time. I've heard the symptoms on commercials, but is there a for sure sign that is what's wrong?

It sounds like it could be a yeast infection but to be sure make an apt. with your doc, it would be difficult to diagnose your symptoms without being seen.

If the discharge has an odor or a really clumpy or milky look you should see a doctor. Yeast infections are not as random as people think, I only had one in my whole 27 years, it was doing my pregnancy. So since you never had one it will be extremely hard for you to self diagnose it. If your sexually active see a doctor anyway.

Are you sexually active? If so, you may have an STD. Is it a fishy odor? You may have vaginitis. If it is more cottage cheese like discharge or white and it's very irritated, sounds like a yeast infection. Cut way back in sugar intake and stress and eat a tsp or so of virgin coconut oil every day and this will kill the yeast systemically.

I've had a yeast infection and didn't know it until the doctor said so during a pap smear. Call the doc, better safe than sorry.

Just to be on the safe side take a baking soda bath and sleep at night withougt your underwear on. During the day, change your underwear frequently. It sounds like you have a mild yeast infection.

well, i just got over a yeast infection, like, a week ago, and it was my first (and hopefully only) one, and they SUCK!!! its like a constant itching and it burns a little to pee, the discharge is thicker than normal and more smelly, i just called my doctor and told them my symtoms and they said to just go get some stuff at the drugstore, i got Caneston (canestan??) and it cleared it up in 5 days and also relieved the itching, which was great....so ya, call your doctor and tell them your symtoms, like someone said earlier, it sounds like a mild yeast infection.....
