I think the world is ready for it, I don't think the U.S. is ready for it. I don't see to many Republicans voting for a woman (even if she is a Republican)

The "world" has been used to female heads of state for decades, it's the United States that needs to catch up on that. And yes, we are clearly ready for a woman President. Sen. Clinton just keeps gaining more support week by week. She's rapidly losing the mystique surrounding the fact that she's a "woman' and is starting to make a dent without that fact clouding most people's minds. We weren't ready even 20 years ago, but the gender police and the misogynists have become the minority these days, not the majority.

If the world is ready?
The world has already done it.

Either restate your question or you better give Chile,
Argentina,
Liberia,
Bolivia,
Iceland,
Malta,
the Philipines,
Nicuragra,
Sri Lanka,
Guyana,
Latvia,
and Finland a call.

And let them know that their female presidents are somehow invalid. You can toss in more, including England, if you want to include Prime Minister or Captain Regent as highest political offices.

PS
Points for Ethno-centrism.

The UK, India, Canada, and other countries have had female heads of state. I think the USA is ready as long as the particular female is qualified to be President.

I hope the world is. Why not? It's about time.

I don't understand all the anti-Hillaryisms. She is extremely smart, experienced, and a very dedicated, tireless advocate for our country. Read her book, listen to her. She is not a soundbite or her husband's clone. She's been through the mill and has shown her strength. I'd be proud to have her as President.

Margret Thatcher led England for quite a number of years, I think they even had a little war down in the Faulklands. How about our brothers and sisters across the pond, How did old Maggie hold up?

Countries of the world have had women leaders for years.

America better get used to it. The old, rich white guys aren't going to run things anymore.
Hillary will make a great President.
