Ok its nice and all to help other people out but I'm from L.A and I see lots of problems that we have here. Most of the teenage kids here give up on education because they're too poor to go to school and either end up doing drugs or joining a gang. Why can we help kids out here? We're fighting a freakin war. Why not donate to soldiers? Our own flesh and blood? Organizations like Al-Queda want to attack our own freakin soil. Donate to something to prevent that. Maybe I'm just one of these people but I believe in non-intervention, as in don't attack countries for no reason and strengthen our borders and our own country. I see so many problems here and it really upsets me that no one has the common sense to help our own people before helping others around the world. Don't you agree that untill this country cannot be improved any more we shouldn't donate to those causes. It might sound cruel but we have problems of our own.

In Darfur, we are talking mass murder. Hardly comparable to US kids dropping out of school and doing drugs.

I doubt the people of Darfur think what they are going through is B.S. Besides, are there hundreds of thousands of people in LA being killed? I will agree with you about not getting involved in other country's business but geez...shouldn't take something like mass genocide lightly. Besides, if that kind of thinking was going on back in 1941 how far would Hitler have gotten?

I believe that in Darfur people were being massacred. Last I checked that wasn't exactly happening in L.A. Yeah, we have problems of our own but turning our backs to other people isn't really the answer >> I'm not talking about our 'invasions' of other countries.

But Darfur? As B.S.? We can fix L.A. On their own .. the people in Darfur can't.

No you're actually not as clever as you think of. a million) we've many troops on the boarder helping with the subject of imagration 2) we've taken the combat to those who prefer to fly planes into our worldwide places homes 3) In that combat we've despatched the folk working into holes to conceal like rodents 4) We by no ability asked to be observed as something we in simple terms are 5) we are able to acomplish greater in a 4 3 hundred and sixty 5 days settlement than you will in a decade 6) the typical troop has a minimum of an 2 3 hundred and sixty 5 days degree from lots of the counties acceptable colleges thank you because of the fact we dont would desire to pay maximum of our expenditures and those we do are paid for by making use of the MGIB 7) in case you have even been to college how lots did you pay 8) as quickly as we get out we would have a greater valuable hazard at getting a job than you because of the fact employers know that we are used to studying at a quicker %.. in ordinary terms because of the fact we are experienced to pay interest and not think of all of us know each and every thing (sounds kinda such as you) 9) whilst a troop gets employed whilst they get out promoting will come quicker because of the fact they do what must be refrained from somebody eles asserting it and without crying yet because of the fact you knbow each and every thing approximately us i assume your perfect we dont do something for you like pay your expenditures. it is why a Soldier will continuously be greater valuable than a baby we dont want others to do something for us and whilst they are going to we are saying thank you. P.S. Please dont connect we want knowledgeable people who're sturdy and which could think of on there very own without assistance from the T.V.

Short answer no. Children in S/E S/C LA are not subjected to the same horrors. I work in LA and no child I've ever seen has been drugged, given an AK-47 and told to kill. Women of LA are not rapped, killed, and disfigured because of tribal lines (Its Genocide). Men are not taken into slavery to work the diamond mines or forced into tribal warfare and separated from there families. Not to mention they have no avenue of hope through education, religion, or support. In America we do. We have the choice.

Very very weak analogy! Darfur and LA? Jeez.... I'll tell you what I am sick of; people that don't have an education that are publicly opinionated. At least seek out your facts before you post.

You say that kids are giving up on education because they're too poor to go to school.

Public schools are free. They're dropping out because they're lazy and think they don't need it. Kids choose to leave and no amount of money will keep a kid who doesn't want to learn in school.

We may agree that veterans are worthy of extra help and benefits.

Darfur is horrible but I do think the liberals should fix our country. Oh, thats right they are liberals. Let's give all of our money to others. When it comes to the holocaust, Stalin killed more people than Hitler. How come we never hear about that?

You honestly can't compare people in the middle of ethnic cleansing to some mental midgets who decide to drop out of school and onto the crack pipe. Yea it sucks that that happens to them, and in a perfect system it wouldn't happen, but honestly get some perspective

It is just like us here in the U.S. we can't see the log in our own eye, but we go to pluck the speck out of someone elses. We have been the policeman to the world since WWII.
