it is not a requirement to learn the other language since both of them are national languages however if you go to a place were the other..for example French in Quebec then yeah i think you should speak French just to be culturally sensitive. learning a new language is fun anyway. i'm only 16 and speak...English...German, Italian, French, and learning Arabic!!! It is just fun to be able to speak in a language that isn't your own:)
