You could be a linebacker, but with your speed, you'd be more likely an outside lb in my scheme (4-4) where OLB's are often called upon to cover flats or TE's man-on-man. ILB's typically are more in the 215-225 range and while I love the speed, are a little more slower and built for plugging holes and contact. Good Luck though, might even hit the coach up for a shot in the backfield (fullback is a great place for linebackers).

I don't think any of those guys really read your Question. They are suggesting that you aren't big enough and that you move to a safety or backfiel. But you said you are already playing O -line or d-line, so yeah i would consider making the switch, nothing too drastic like tackle to saftey, but to a middle linebacker would be smart. Especially with 4.6 speed.

Depending on what division ure in. I played guard in a Div I school that won the state championship, and those guys are HUUGGEEE. In a school like this, u might be too small, since its the inside linebackers that tackle the RB on inside runs. In a school like this, ure size and height is probably better suited for CB, in addition to the fact that u could keep up with a WR. In a school in a lower division, u could probably make inside LB, but it wouldnt hurt to lift more and get bigger.

If you want to continue your career as an inside or middle linebacker, you need to bulk up. Get up to 240-250 to be an effective college MLB. If you want to play outside linebacker, you only need about 15-30 more lbs.

Yes you got speed also good size for a high school player. Try packing on some weight if you want to play ILB in college. But if you cant put on weight you could still play a different position like WR or DB.

I think that with your size you could be a good MLB. Thats a good size for a high school mlb in my opinion. I play corner for my team in Illinois in a 7A division. The MLB's i've seen are around that size. But then again if you do want to keep playin at that position you will need to bulk up like these other people are sayin. Even now for high school though you are gonna wanna bulk up.

Ya, if you play defensive line then you should definately be able to play inside line backer. You should definately work on tryin to gain some weight.

Work work work and more work. U will need to put on more weight muscle and try to improve your speed to play in major college or pro but high school you should be able to play if you are willing to go to any length to make the tackles .

no, you should be like 230 lbs to be a linebacker, but hey, that doesn't mean you can't work out and gain some muscle.
