i'm he was wayyyyyyyyyyy too into his work, he had no sense of personal influence in his life. it was all business and no fun with him and that drove me crazy so yes i'm glad he's gone. i mean come on he was fighting for his life after having a stroke but yet all he cared about was exposing his WIFE for a stupid cream case. he should have been more concerned with getting better but he just couldn't forget about his case to save his life and now he's lost it so why should i feel sorry for him. he made his job the #1 part of his life to the point of stressing his self to death, his death is his own fought.
p.s bring on the "thumbs downs" i know they're coming but i don't give a damn

I liked William. I just feel that his storyline took a turn for the worse when he got involved with Gloria. I liked him better with Jill. I heard that he had only signed a short term contract to be on the show. He is a well known actor and has been in a lot of prime time roles. He probably got a better offer and decided to leave. I can't blame him. The Jabot case storyline was rather boring.

I'm not! Ted Shakelford is a wonderful actor. I think he really loved Gloria, but hated what she did. I think they kind of painted the character into a corner when he found out so soon. Although, I did read that it was only a short term contract that he signed, and that he had stayed longer than he intended to. I hope he shows up on TV again real soon.

I liked William. I am sad he died. He was a little boring, but I liked how he would always prosecute everyone. Usually cops on soaps are so nice and pardon everyone who wasn't a super villan. He made everyone go to jail and I thought that was pretty cool. His death did make an intereresting story line, too.

I am so glad... the writers really wrote themeselves into a corner on that story...there is nothing that could have been done to make that character interesting

I would have loved for that last note that he wrote in the hospital to say that he loved Gloria but she is the one the DNA test was for. That would have been great, then I would have been happy for him to die, he wasn't on the show every day really anyways.

I am. I think this was a great opportunity to add to the "black widow" Gloria persona -- and bring back Paul's daughter, Heather.

It would be nice if he could have stayed around long enough to see Gloria get what is coming to her.

William was an okay DA. I was sorry to see him die today, but he truly loved Gloria and couldn't stand to see her go to jail.
