I haven't been part of Yahoo Answers very long, but I noticed that in the last week three questions regarding Wicca and worshipping the Goddess have been asked in the Mythology & Folklore category. Can't we reclaim our rightful place in the Religion & Spirituality category?

Wicca is a legal, legitimate religion. It is not mythology nor folklore.

there are questions about wicca asked in r&s, as well as about other religions. however, if you want to be heard over the flood of "is there hell" and "if g came and showed you an apple, would you believe him" and such... andif you want people to take you more seriously and not just pour buckets of copied and pasted biblical verses at you, you're better off here

I attend both forums assiduously. I was away on a 5400 mile jaunt around the country, but now I am back. You'll see both questions and answers from me on many subjects of religion and spirituality. There are others who also post on a regular basis. However, the R&S turnover has such a fast turnover it is easy to miss questions.

why do you disturbed by the category placement?
i don't care about the category placement as long as we can get the answer of our question from the right person.
by the way, I think many of wiccans/goddess whorshippers and religious people will run between this 2 category because they are close neighbor hihi.
so, we still can get the answers from them no matter where do you place your questions, in religion & spirituality or in mythology & folklore.

yes i believe so you don't see many god questions do you? pagans are becoming stronger amd are bonding together with their variety of pagan beliefs even atheist are a part of the pagan religion and anyone who says were not a real religion should really take a bigger look at the people around them paganism is becoming popular again as it once was so many centuries ago and for those of you say paganism is a myth we can easily say that christians or muslims or even catholics are a myth that can't be proven except for history they have just as us pagans do.

Personaly I would like to think that we will...but in my mind I know that we won't. The only reason for this is because people that are not of our religion fear what they do not know. They do not know who we worship, what we can do, and why we do it, therefore they say they dislike or hate us but inreality they fear us and put us in the back of their minds as if we do not exist. They wish that the religion does not live so they put us in this sort of catagory as if to tell others well it is only mythical

Dare to be Silent. Those words are passed down for a reason. Would you like to again be on the forefront of everyones agenda to tourture us as they did past Pagans? Besides I thought Pagans were fine with doing their own thing. The only Pagans who want World recognition of the belief system are those who are fad pagans and fluffy bunnies

Sometimes people misplace their questions in odd categories than what the average person might expect. You can choose where your question goes, so put it where you think it is appropriate. No one will bother you as long as you don't bother them.
