I already asked this question but no one could answer me properly! So hopefully someone can see this and answer me properly. I will take answers from anyone.

I had a breast reduction when I was 17 and I am now 21. For those of you that do not know what is involved in a breast reduction....basically they cut around your nipples then down underneath your breast and across to under your armpit. Since then I have lost a lot of feeling. I can still feel some. For the last few days I have been having a lot of pain in my nipples and on the outsides of my breast. To the point it hurts to wear a bra and the nipples has a little red (I think). It is even painful when my husband touches them. It is a weird sensation because I do not have a lot of feeling but can defiantly feel the pain. Has this happened to anyone?
I had the reduction done because I had cysts. I did not do it because I wanted too, so know rude answers please!

Sarah S - Excuse me, I had a legitimate question to ask and if I am not happy with the answers I can ask again. They are my points not yours.

My boobs do not hurt during my period because of my surgery. So I know it is not that.

Pain in the breast and nipple area can mean a variety of things. Most women are truly done growing aorund the age of 23. Your body could still be going through some other changes, or the tissue in your nipple could be sensitive to certain types of clothing or a new laundrey detergent. Other things involving pains in the breast could be other cysts, sleeping on your stomach for long hours repetitively (especially if you have a history of surgery), estrogen changes, pregnancy, or breast cancer. Most common cause of breast pain in women is hormonal changes and pregnancy. :)

My sister had this problem because her husband sucked an touched them all the time and she wound up with a breast infection. She had to take antibiotics for a few weeks to clear it up. She did have a milky discharge and said it hurt like hell. I would also check with ur dr and make sure that u have no adhesions around the scars from the surgery.

My suggestion is to see your Dr and explain the situation. Perhaps he can give you something for the pain and loss of sensation I have large boobs too and they cause me back and shoulder pain but Dr doesn't recommend surgery at the moment.
Take Care ..let me know of the outcome.

It could be from hormonal changes. Are you pg? PMSing? Have you had a baby? How long have you had pain? If it goes away, its probably triggered by hormones. Caffeine and high fat in your diet can make it worse. If its unbearable, see a doctor!

Well, I know normally women's breasts can hurt when they are getting bigger, it is around the time for their cycle, or they're drinking too much caffeine. But this you might wanna get checked out if you've had problems before.

I had my reduction Feb 2006 and have not experienced that.

I would talk to your family doctor about the issue.
