So I noticed tonight while feeding my fish that one of my bubble-belly mollies has some discoloration. The fish is supposed to be a greenish golden color with stripes on it's sides...it's now almost completely white. Also, it hasn't been eating or swimming around much.

The tank is clean, and at a normal temperature for it. None of the other fish seem to be having problems.

What's wrong with it? How can I fix it?

Check your water conditions...clean water doesn't necessarily mean safe water. Nitrates, pH, and lack of dissolved oxygen could all be factors. Assuming that everything checks out, it could be a bacterial or parasitic infection. I would move the fish to a separate "sick tank" for quarantine, and treat with maracyn 1 and 2...both together will cost you about $25 at a pet store, but are broad spectrum anti-biotics that will treat most fish ailments. Good luck!

continue to make sure the tank is clean, but it most likely has some kind of disease. fish tend to lose color when going through tail decay. or it may be pregnant.

Also very important, check your ammonia levels, pH levels and nitrite levels, these are the 3 main sources of a fish being sick

Hope that helps
Good luck

It may have a disease or something like that. You can't really do much for fish. If they're sick you can just hope it doesn't die. I hope it gets better. Good luck.

There is some bacteria or mold in the tank, you need to add more chlorine to the water.
