At least, I don't think they're used in court cases....I mean, I watched plenty of trials on TV and they've never once used a lie detector. There was this one case where a man was convicted of murdering his ex-girlfriend's fiancee, but there was not much evidence against him besides his intense jelousy. I mean, even if if this man really did commit murder, they're still not giving him a fair trial since there really wasn't any solid evidence against him. Why wouldn't they use a lie detector? The poor guy might be sitting in jail for life just because the jury made the wrong guess!

Lie detectors are inadmissible in court for the reason being that they dont work. During interrogations they can be used but the fact is that there are ways to beat around them.

Courts do not allow detectors in court because even thou they can sometimes tell the truth there is evidence that they can be deceived. The law says" with out a shadow of doubt" when somebody is found guilty. It is not a matter of maybe he or she is guilty they must find in favor the what ever the verdict is. The lie detector has to be used in a very controlled environment. Silence ,no distractions, no movements. A court room is not the place. A jury can not guess as to what they want but be convinced of the facts. They look at evidences, emotions all kinds of behavour we can not see and not all things are shared with the public. If the person has been found guilty and wants to appeal that is up to them and the lawyer nobody goes without a second and sometimes even more chances. Sometimes more facts come out later to help that were not known then .

The lie detector was invented over 100 years ago. Early in its history it was found that many people could fake it, the technology was not an absolute certainty of catching lies vs. truths. So the legislatures ruled that it could not be used in court cases.

Since the invention, there has been massive medical know how evolved, and the technology today, and understanding of technology has vastly changed since the early days of this invention. It is probably about time that we as a society revisit what this kind of technology can do for us.

However, there is a vested interest in people using lie detector technology that probably would block serious research efforts into a better alternative.

Many of the problems you may be facing could be just the tip of the iceberg on what is really happening in your marriage. I dont mean to scare you but many problems when they either first show up or if they keep reoccurring could be just whats showing from a larger problem that either you or your spouse cannot even see. One of the only things you can do to help is to talk honestly and openly with each other in the marriage. If things become more serious more serious options need to be looked at as possibilities. I have a blog that has more information on some of what I've been writing about. If you feel like checking it out I would completly suggest it. Read here https://tr.im/NC1Na

Love is a choice that is made everyday when you wake up and every night when you go to sleep. Some days you may not feel the original feeling but love isnt a feeling or an emotion. Its an action a verb. Falling out of love may just mean you need to spice things up a little or that you were never in love in the first place. Don't just get out of a marriage just because you don't think you like the person anymore.

Lie detectors are not very accurate. Their lack of accuracy allows many courts to dismiss them as evidence because the lie detector test doesn't prove anything. Other pieces of evidence like tire marks, shoe prints, and DNA are much more accurate than a lie detector.

Because lie detectors are not SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE. They are a tool for determining whether a person is innocent (at times.) But they cannot be used for convicting someone. Additionally, they are not admissible in court for obvious reasons. You can fool lie detectors with a bit of practice.

Lie detectors are based on a comparison to respiration rate, blood pressure, and perspiration. It is quite possible that a person can control those bodily functions well enough to "fool" the machine and the expert evaluating the data. It is this falability that has led to lie detector tesults being inadmissable as evidence.

The results are not solid. Many people can pass a lie detector test when guilty. Many people fail a lie detector tests when innocent.

lie detectors are actually not very reliable or accurate...i know someone who has to take lie detector tests some times, and it will say you're lying on some things, even like your full name and stuff.

you have to be willing to take a lie detector test. and even then being nervous can mess up the results so its not a 100% accurate test although it is pretty accurate.
