If our supposed enemy is Al Quaeda, then what went wrong with the operation if they have made such a huge comeback now in Pakistan? Is Bush and Co. lying again or is this another fear game to keep the American people distracted during the summer? If supposedly Intelligence is saying that Al Quaeda is going to attack or could attack, doesn't that basically blow holes through the myth that Bush is keeping us safe. Especially knowing that our ports and borders are more porous than ever? Or, again, is this another fear hoax to keep us distracted, like so many orange alerts before?

Paddy Ranger: Here's some history for you. This ISN'T WWII. This is nothing like WWII. This isn't even a standing country that we are supposedly enemies with. It seems like you are stuck in history. A history that doesn't exist anymore.

well, they've kinda painted themselves into a corner with that "no attacks since 9/11 proves the Bush admin is winning" routine because they've made it more difficult to use their favorite fear invoking bogyman without contradicting their own self praise.
however, i don't think they care anymore if they fool us or not. they'll do want they want, when they want to whom they want no matter what we the people think, do or say. those elitist plutocrats are on a roll (right over us) and they're not gonna stop lying, stealing and warring until they get everything they're "entitled" to. i hope they get precisely what they deserve.

Hey! No fair remembering what the President said last week.
Don't you know it breaches Security and emboldens the Enemy every time someone points out that he's changed his story yet again.
"We know that Sadam has 540 tons of Mustard gas that can be Deployed in 45 minutes. Here's a satellite photo of where they are stored."
"We have found the remains of two mobile chemical labs."
"I am absolutely certain that we will find Iraq's Chemical weapons."
"I'm pretty sure they've got a couple of cases of pepper spray stashed somewhere."
"We had to invade Iraq because Sadam was harboring Al Qeda cells."
There were actually no Al Qeda CELLS when Sadam was in charge. He just tossed them in with the other political prisoners.

The war is going just as planned by the MIC. These wars in the middle east are puppet shows fought by puppet dictators and are guided by the MIC for profit and control of the region. Everthing about the war is a lie. The primary goal of the war is to blow out the economy just like Communist Russia in the 80's and Brazil in the 90's.
The government behind our government knows the United States cannot pay off it's debts so they are just liquidating our assets. Our economy is crashing and our government is being brought down by design. All they need is another 9/11 so that they can take full control of us so we won't able to overthrow the system when the economy does collapes. This is no conspiracy theory.

Um yeah, I'm with you on that... Let me present this; What happens when you back a mean (or stupid) dog in to the corner? It will probably bite right(?). What do you think will happen when gwb & uncle dick are backed in to a corner? See the pattern.... Every time gwb's poll numbers drop something happens that is suspicious at best.
This is to Paddy Ranger above ~
You are comparing the Battle of the Bulge to this? You need to stop reading those neocon comic books and get a reality check. Even if the analogy was plausible ~ Battle of the Bulge ultimeately made Germany lose the war. So where are you coming from with this weak logic? False premise, red herring, weak analogy. I love debating neocon airheads like you.

I think hes giving us a heads up and hes telling us that it will happen (he'll make sure of it!). He is doing this to make us scared to take away more of our rights. He is also warning us because he wants to use martial law in the new act that gives the executive power ultimate control in case of another terrorist attack of any other type of emergency such as a revolution. There would be no checks and balances, and he could call for martial law. Oh yeah, and he could also set back the election to when he thinks it would be ok. So I'm guessing that something is going to happen in the next year and a half ...

We have currently enjoyed the longest (# of years) span of time since the 1980 without an attack by terrorist, so we are winning. The second longest streak was from 1988 till 1993.
No the daily attacks in Iraq don't count because they are acts of war not terrorism and they are aimed at military not civilians. The military men and women signed up for that just as I did when I was younger.

Girl we are it just is going to take some time.Hard to win fast when they are chickens using children to hide behind and to carry bombs for them, all in the man called Allah.I don't see how they think a loving God would have them sacrifice their children over religion. It dozen;t make sense to me and never will. The good people in the Middle East need to leave and then the real God needs to open up the desert and swallow all of those barbaric countries for ever!

As long as people hate the US we will ALWAYS be in danger. I think the president is doing a good job of keeping us safe.
These people hate America and the way we live so they will stop at NOTHING to attack us and harm our way of life. You are never entirely safe because something could always happen. If you think everything is a hoax or conspiricy then just vote and stop bitching. Or get off the internet and make a change, go protest or burn a flag.
These are the freedoms that we are so lucky to have and that we must protect at all costs.

I suspect that every insurgent group in Iraq is labeled as Al Qaeda or has ties with Al Qaeda whether there is any evidence for any connection or not.
Just how reliable is that data?
