Airplane, wheel (of course almost every form of industry is reliant upon the wheel whether it's a pulley or cog or tire), nuclear fusion reactors (they have achieved this to some degree though it's still a long way before it can save us from the looming energy crisis but a hundred years from now it may be considered the invention that saved the human race)
TV is about the worst invention. It's great for information but ultimately it makes people soft in mind as well as body.

The knife and the fork. They're in use world-wide, including in cultures where chopsticks are common. Another would be the pen and ink to go with it.
