Have cleaned hundreds of plastic blinds.

Put you cleaner in a splay bottle, Get a clean paint brush (about 3" will do)

Go in the shower & hold the open blind against the back wall.

Take the spray bottle in other hand & get the blind nice & wet.

Then take the paint brush & brush all of the slats.

Turn blind around to other side & repeat.

Then turn on the shower & rinse the blind well. Shake it to get most of the water off & hang it to dry some where Or hang it back up & place a cloth under to catch the drips.

Since I am a person who believes in using homemade prearations vs many of the popular commercial preps :for non-fabric miniblinds,I use any long cleaning stick with a sponge on the end. dip into a mixture of vinegar & baking soda and wipe each blade front & back with this solution. You will have sparkling clean blinds in no time. This solution is also great for unclogging drains that may be clogged with items such as hair.I use 1-2 Tbs baking soda to a cup of vinegar. The rapid foaming action is normal. You can use many things, this is just my way.

Stretch a rope outside. Spray with Zep vinal siding cleaner. Let it sit a couple of minutes and just hose it off. No need to scrubb. I made some loops out of wire to hold the top frame of the blinds to keep from drapeing them over the rope.

A cashier at Lowe's inspired me when I bought the cheap, white mini-blinds for my first house.

She said," Oh, I love these! They are so cheap, that when mine get dirty or tangled, I just buy new ones!"

I had never thought of that, but she is right. If dirty blinds are an ongoing problem, just get the cheapest (usually less than $5 apiece) and toss them when they get dirty. I have a house full of pets, and I haven't cleaned a blind since.

Put them in th.e bathtub with Oxy Clean.
Let them soak awhile.
Take a sponge and run over them as best you can.It doesn't take much as the Oxy works wonders.
Rinse them under the shower and let dry by standing the on end.

When we were in the business we took them outside and hung them over a six foot ladder and sprayed the with a hose, then used a long haired brush and washed them with Dawn, then simply hosed them again and hung them over the balconies or railings and let them dry.
