Well Chi Guy...you got me there, I have been wondering that same thing...That's why I like Thompson in '08...he isn't big on flip flopping.

You will notice it is not just one party doing this...Dems are also guilty.

People have the right to change their minds as the situation dictates....however, if you change your mind just before election season, as Hillary and the Rep. in Congress are doing, it doesn't take a genius to see that you don't have any real principles.

If that is their sole reason, you've reached the obvious conclusion -- they don't.

But consider this.... if Bush can ignore Congressional subpoenas at will, and can ignore complying with other statutory requirements at will, and can generally ignore the law at will....

What's to stop any later president from doing the same thing? And how does that not turn this country into a dictatorship?

I think ALL Representatives should do what the majority of their constituency asks of them. They're supposed to be representing *us* instead of the White House.

Their job is not to stand by the leader regardless their job is to represent the will of the people and bring that will to Washington and if that will changes they must change.

they didn't leave bush (the original quote was the democratic party). bush left them.
