I really like this name, (I liked it before that woman on "Notes from The Underbelly" named her boy Perry), but am worried that it's too feminine? What do you think?

Well I would not name my child that but we are not talking about my child. There are many names that started out male, Ashley, Terry, Jamie, BJ ect. that wound up becoming female. Perry is a popular name in France and is very much considered masculine. Consider this, one hundred years ago male babies were the ones in pink, females in blue. Pink was considered manly because the color is related to blood and is the color of energy and power. Blue was for females because it was considered more docile and pasive. All that really matters is if you like it.

I dont think that Perry is to feminine. I know many men named Perry. I dont think that it sets me up to think anything about guys named that. You could always do something that you find more masculine for a first name and then Perry for a middle name if you are still concerned.

I like
Jonathon Perry
Michael Perry
Mason Perry
Dominique Perry
Alexander Perry

Those all could go for middle names to, with Perry as the first.

I also like
Perry Matthew
Perry Jacob
Perry James
Perry Ryan

Ultimately it has to be a name you and the babys father love!!

Good luck to you and congrats.

I am quite surprised no one has pointed out that Dr. Cox's first name is Perry (on the t.v. sitcom Scrubs). Perry Cox is a man and I like his character. He is a bit verbose and annoying at times, but he is a good guy with a good heart. I really don't think of Perry as a feminine name!

I like these names as middles for Perry:
Perry John
Perry James
Perry Mark
Perry Ryan
Perry Blair

Good luck : )

I think it's a great boys name. It could be a unisex name, but I've never met a female Perry. I've heard that name on tv shows, and it's always been used for a guy's name. I love the name!

It does have a feminine feel to it. I've never met anyone name Perry, so if uniqueness is a factor, I think this name is winning in that category. I'm having a hard time deciding how I feel about it.

I know a few guys named perry and they are all very masculine. I like it as a boys name! I have never seen it as a girls name to be honest.

Perry is a boy's name. My dad had a male cousin named Perry. It's a good name... not common and not crazy.
