Way too early to tell. He only played a few games last year without much to work with on offense. They added Sidney Rice and Adrian Peterson to the offense. Jackson is a mobile QB with a decent arm and some weapons, he should do alright for a 1st year starting.
The guy above me...Tarvaris Jackson was a 2nd round QUARTERBACK drafted last year...you are talking about Adrian Peterson...

I for one think Jackson is a perfect fit into the Vikings system, and will soon prosper in the NFL as an emerging talent.

He definitely wasn't highly regarded in high school or college, but he could surprise. I think the Vikings need a better option there. I guess give him two years and if he's not showing any improvement, hope that the Vikings have a backup plan in order.

The fact they are still looking for another QB should tell you that even they don't think Jackson will ever amount to much. He is a stop gap QB, nothing more.

i think he is going to be absolutely amazing. I am a packer fan myself and it hurts to say that, but with him and chester taylor shareing carries, he should be awesome. He will be pretty fresh whenever he gets the ball, and the vikings line should be a little better this year.
