The youngest client that my Plastic Surgeon performed a Breast Reduction on was 15- and he did that because she was an uncomfortable size for her frame, she was embarrassed at school, he told me they were an E cup so they didn't cause her any physical pain but more emotional. Therefore it was purely for vanity and self esteem and yet he still did it. It is ther individual persons decision for surgery

I had a Breast Reduction nearly 3 months ago when I was aged 21. I was a size 34G and am 5'3 so they just looked stupid on my body and made me look fat. My initial and main reason for getting the surgery was that I wanted normal looking breasts which suited my frame and would enable me to wear the right sized clothes, etc. Honestly if I had of looked right with G cup breasts I would have put up with the pain and kept them that size.
It is an elective surgery and you are paying the surgeon
A LOT of money ( my Plastic Surgeons fee was AU $6,500 and I paid AU $11,500 all up) so therefore as long as you are going to be happy with the results and see good results they will perform the surgery for you for whatever reason.

It's great to get input from all of us on here but it would be beneficial for you to have a consultation with a qualified plastic surgeon to discuss your options.

Hope this helps you

Doctors will be hard pressed to do a breast reduction on a young woman who isn't done growing (anyone under the age of 20-22). Breast reductions are for life and the decision should not be taken lightly, in fact it needs to be made by an adult (at least 22).
Additionally, sports are only one aspect of life. A breast reduction will affect all aspects of life. Unless you're a professional athlete and sports IS your life I would not suggest having a breast reduction strictly for athletic purposes.
Try looking for a high-impact sports bra with an underwire built in it. Preferably one that individualizes the breasts (rather than smushing them together). I have a cheap Danskin bra that I got at Walmart that I absolutely love. But many brands make them.

Well, I can tell you from personal experience that no doctor is going to touch your breasts if you are under the age of 18, and it is not for a medical reason. If it is purely cosmetic, I don't know if a doctor would feel comfortable doing such a thing for someone under the age of 18 that hasn't finished developing as of yet. But I am sure with enough money, someone will. . .

I think if you are having back pain issues, and have exceptionally large breast you arent to young. Correcting the situation before you have serious back problems.

Becca nailed it. I got a friend who's a 36EE and she stands at 5'1". She wants to become a cop, but she needs to get her breasts reduced because it's giving her a lot of problems during physical testing.

Doctors will take your health issues into consideration, but most likely they will not operate on you until you are at least 18 years of age.

If it is seriously affecting your health right now where you are unable to do anything they will take that into consideration.

They DO operate on teenagers, but that is on a case by case basis.

How old are you?

If u have problem with your breasts or the sports have any criteria, then go for it, but think before going for it.
