No, people freak out over this myspace thing. Only stupid kids get into trouble on myspace. Private and having friends from school shows that they are responsible. Sounds like the parent doesn't understand what myspace actually is.
There are A LOT worse things kids can be doing online.

If you only communicating with school friends ya know for sure, it'd be OK. But PLZ watch out, there are so many way predators can use your info to hunt you down. Sorry, I have a lot of Cop friends who tell some horrible stories & I thank God my son is grown & married.

no, my son is 14 and has a myspace, with all his friends from school also. he also lets me look at it once in a while.
just be careful who u talk to,there are a lot of strange people out there. good luck

no way..being that it's set to private makes me feel better because i'm not worried about my child so much, it's the older pervs out there that get to me. i think a child has to have some form of trust from their parents.

im not a parent, but if i were, id be pretty sensitive about it, knowing the things i say and do on there in my youth,

my mom did. she got mad cuz it sed i was 14 and i was only 12. but u hav 2 say that 2 get a myspace. it doesnt make any sense for them to get mad but it just another way for them to rule your life. heres my advice: get one of ur frinds to giv u their password (ive done it....TOTALLY works)!!!! then tell your mom your frinds computer crashed and she wanted u 2 read her a message or sumthin stupid like that. or make another with a fake name and say its one of your frinds
