I'm going there for running away from home.

What would be likely to happen if I tell them that I'd rather stay at my house instead of a foster home, but I'd really like to be emancipated or find another family that will take me.

Depending on your age and how many times this has happened. Some of the things the court is looking for is first honesty and not blaming everybody for the reason you ran away. Take responsibility ask for help if you need it especially if abuse is a problem. If your parents are what seems hard on you ask for counsuling for you and suggest that you would like to see them get it also. If drugs or sex or what ever maybe the problem at home ask again for help by counsuling. Yoy most likely will get probation if you are already on prbation the is going to be decided by the court with your probation officer.
The judge is going to probably frown on you saying you want to stay at home when that is what you run from. Give him or her the reason why you feel you want to stay at home. The judge is going to demand you conform to what ever the house rules are if you stay there but counseling can be on your side if follow through then the counsuler has to tell the judge what they recommend when problems come up. Probation is the same way everything is going to be open ended for you but can work to your advantage if you allow it to. The court wants you to be happy and have a chance at a good future so be nice, watch you manners and dress at least for the time there. Probation is usually cut in half if you keep your appointment and open up with them to your needs.

If you want to stay home the judge might allow it. Why are you running away. If you have relatives you can live with the judge might allow that. Much depends upon the circumstances of your home life and your age, and you didn't give us a clue.
