Unfortunately, if the United States leaves, the civil war will be very short lived. The Shiites will have Iran's backing, support and supplies. They will then have the perfect breeding ground to plan and train for whatever their next intentions might be.

Al Queda in Iraq is a separate functioning arm of Osama's Al Queda - they even have a separate name: Al Queda Mesopotamia. There are Al Queda cells all over the Middle East, especially in the outer areas of Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. Al Queda is never caught anywhere, they move about quite freely. Middle Easterners, some on the no-fly list, have already been caught trying to sneak over the border. How many weren't caught? Does it matter which arm of Al Queda hits us here on our own soil? They all operate the same.

al qaeda wasnt in iraq because of the fact saddam had finished means and could execute opposition, i dont understand if al qaeda will take over iraq if we pass away. yet somebody could, and whether we went in for the incorrect motives we are caught, whilst we left nam in simple terms approximately a million south vietnamese have been slaughtered.

Any US embassy is US soil, so is any government agency office. Remember the embassy in Kenya getting bombed? We weren't even in Iraq at that time. The Romans had a very good foriegn policy..."Let them hate, but let them fear". And before you state that the Empire fell, it did so because they allowed barbarians to keep thier culture and tribal identity once they were taken over. That's called "multiculturism".
