I'm talking heavy petting and making out in the daylight while children are playing on the street. Maybe even some oral sex who knows. Can i call the cops? What will the cops do?

Walking up to the car with a video camera usually gets the people to leave quickly.

It is legal for people to park in front of your house, if it is legal for anyone to park there.
It is legal for people to hug & kiss and caress in public.

Having intercourse, or sodomy in public is not legal.

You can call the cops, but there is a problem with
you said (one you) they said (two them) where generally in the law when different people say different things, the police need to have some proof of the wrong doing to take action against the alleged wrong doers, so perhaps before you call the cops, you make sure some other neighbors saw the same stuff, then you ALL call the cops, independently from your homes, then when the cops arrrive, you come out and identify yourselves as witnesses, at which point it is a bunch of you saw this and only the two of them to say different.

If the police are too busy to deal with this, because there's murders mugging rape to keep them busy, then someone write tdown description of license plate, car etc. and maybe take video picture, and send this in to the news media, so that car will be followed all over the place by media photographers asking them why they cannot do their sex in a nice motel or at home.

The purpose of this exercise is to impose a chilling effect on the next couple that might consider doing the same thing in your neighborhood.

Well, what a dilema. That would irritate me too. It might depend on what is visible to others. Public nudity is illegal, you could make the case that it bad for the kids who are in the area.

Perhaps you can fight fire with fire.. get a digital or video camera, invite your friends over and all of you stand or sit on YOUR property and watch, take pictures.. etc. See if it bothers them enough to leave. If not, you get a free show.

That is lewd and offensive behavior and illegal.

But, the best the police can do is ask them to move along. If you catch them on film then you can press charges and take it to court, but it is a misdemeanor. Still if you do make a habit of trying to film them in action they might get the hint and park somewhere else.

The streets are public, but lewd and lascivious behavior is against the law. I don't know how the cops will respond, but I'd call them anyway.

Yes, it is legal for them to park on the street.

Making out is also legal. Public sex is not.

I'm not sure about the specific laws concerning that, but if they don't quit, next time they're there just take the hose and spray their car.

Hopefully the police have better things to do than chase a couple of lovebirds.

Um, I'm not sure. I think there is some law against it, indecent exposure perhaps.
