Hey guys,
I am looking for gripping books and movies where a really bad guy falls for the good girl. A bad guy for me is a hitman, gangster, mafia, etc. I'm looking for a love story, but not a romance novel which is unrealistic and where the hero changes everything b/c he loves a girl and wants a normal suburban life and blablabla. I want deep and interesting characters. For example, Alec Baldwin's character in "The Juror" (except that Demi Moore should fall in love with him too), or maybe like the trailer for the movie "Eastern Promises".

A Bronx Tale - Calogero witnesses a murder as a kid and then experiences growing up in Italian Bronx under the wing of mafia captain Sonny. He meets a nice girl and has to decide between her or his friends.
Good film. Directed by Robert De Niro, written by Chazz Palminteri, stars them both as well as Lillo Brancato.

in city of god, Benny, a 18 year old gang leader and drug kingpin in rio de janero falls in love with a local girl and plans on moving off to a farm so that he could "smoke weed and listen to rock and roll all day"...i can't tell you the rest but its SHOCKING.
very realistic since thats what you're looking for i know you'll like it Lauren
an amazing movie in terms of style, cinematography, and story, nominated for an oscar for best foreign film in 2003

Guys and Dolls, cause a gangster (Skye) falls for a good girl (Sarah). She doesn't like him at first, but they fall in love and get married at the end. This is a play though.

I'd pick "The Outsiders" except it doesn't revolve around love, more about gangs from the wrong side of the tracks. Good book-great movie.
