Most of the 9/11 terrorists were from Saudi Arabia, most of the insurgents we are fighting in Iraq are from Saudi Arabia.

One of finest questions asked! It seems that our govt is simply too financially entrenched with the Saudi royals and that's why we're not in Saudi Arabia. They are the source of terrorism and had more to do with 9/11 than any other country -
- 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudi Arabian
- the source of Wahabbi Islam
- One of only three countries to recognize the Taliban as the official Afghan govt. (Pakistan and the UAE were the other two)
- home of Osama bin laden
- vehemently anti-democracy
- anti-women's rights (women can't even drive there)
... the list goes on. By the way, EVERY one of these facts are verifiable so please go right ahead.

We can only be so many places at once. When we said this war would take decades, I think most of America realized that we've started making a list. Afghanistan, Iraq, and now it looks like we're starting to focus on Iran and Pakistan. Sooner or later the Saudis will have some 'splainin to do.

Saudi Arabia is Holy Ground to all moslems. it is the birthplace of muhammed. it has the holiest of sites. an attack upon Saudi Arabia would unify all moslems against us.

That's where the vast majority of the insurgency reside!
The other countries surrounding Iraq are places like Syria, Iran, Lebanon, and others.
These other countries want to take control of the rich oil supply that Iraq has.

Because, contrary to what liberals want us to believe, we didn't go after Saddam as a result of 9-11. It was about his constant violations of the Gulf War cease fire, UN resolutions, and his presumption of continuing to have WMD.
We know the Saudi government was not behind the 9-11 attacks and they were very cooperative in anti-terrorism efforts.

The princes in Saudi Arabia gave Bush money for his oil business before Bush became governor of Texas. Lots of money. Bush has been bush kissing their asses since then.
