We the people. That's who. He already defied the law of statistics. He did that when he was put in office by his brother and then he did it again when he won an election. Also proving that people will vote for someone stupid just because he says he believes in god. Hey I believe in God but I'm not voting for someone so stupid. What a laughing stock he is and has made us.

Actually, you're 1 for 4 in your examples.

The world didn't care much about the Iraq invasion, and the UN didn't issue any orders prohibiting it. So, while the US did act pretty much unilaterally (with a few other countries) it didn't have to defy anyone to do it.

As Commander in Sheik, he can "defy" his generals all he wants. Just like the lieutenant in charge of a unit can "defy" a private under his command.

Bush absolutely defied Congress, and defied the law (18 USC 1001 among others) by ordering that the Congressional subpoeas be ignored. No question there.

Bush did not defy the law by commuting Libby's sentence. He defied the DoJ guidelines -- but the guidelines were not mandatory as a matter of law, and pardons (or commutations) are within his constitutional powers.

So, while he's done lots of defying -- your examples are only 1 correct out of 4.

The world: hmmm, last I checked, the US wasn't the only country over there. Just from the UN security council, we were supported by Bulgaria, the UK and Spain. Australia, Poland and Denmark (along with other countries) aided in the invasion.Troop deployment in Iraq by nation.

The generals: There are generals that wanted 300,000 troops over there. Not all generals opposed the surge.

The senate: Political witch hunts, out to smear the GOP for the upcoming election.

The law: Libby shouldn't have even stood trial for perjury, another political witch hunt.

Your question is nothing but absurd......Congress mandated the Iraq war decisions and The President has the power to commute someone's sentence! So where exactly is your problem with all this anyway? Can't you find some way to live with the FACT that he only has a year or so left in office??????????????????????????

Perhaps he can defy gravity? I'm hoping so! We could send him off on a space mission and perhaps he'll never return. Sounds familiar to our dear families with loved ones in Iraq.
