What about a book call Passionate Marriage. That is a really good book.. They guy's last name is Snark or Snarch or something like that. I think it is good to try to work on your marriage together. When you get to an in-pass or argument, try going to a third party who isn't on a side. They may be willing to listen and be objective. I have a hard time not taking everything personal..

The Bible. And other marriage books based on scriptures from it. I have been married for 6 years now, my marriage is awesome, my husband and I are more in love now than when we first got married! Try it. Also find a good church that will teach you from the Bible and offer marriage enhancement. My church often has classes for free to help strengthen marriages and families.

I like robi ludwigs book called lies at the altar...It is good reading and has alot of questions and exercises to do together. I think she is a psychologist. I also like the five love languages by gary chapman, it also has questions and exercises and helps you understand one another better. They are both interesting and you wont get bored with them and will probably finish them. I have seen some books like that, that are so boring you just quit them. Good luck

Power of the praying wife and there's one for husbands too. The Five love languages by gary chapman (really good one to read now before marriage) I also like Wild at Heart by John Eldredge (for men but you should read to better understand men) and Captivating by John and Stasi Eldredge(this one is for women but men should read to understand us) when I went through martial problems recently these books saved us and our marriage is amazing now. we both are believers but anyone can go through martial problems after married so these books will help understand our needs as mates. and of course the Bible!!

I doubt it can work with just you two. Communication is very important, but a third party will ask the tough questions and all marriages need that from time to time.
Good luck
