I will only differ from among other people based on the ff:

Basically, as an individual there is no duplicate on my being. My life long experiences are very much different to them. My insights of thinking in answering questions is no doubt same as others. I usually make the first move on occasions a response is needed whatever the situation it may be. That's i think is a big difference of myself to others.

I am different because of a few things, I am extremely dyslexic the words that I use are words that I know from memory and not because I can sound them out. It is very unusual that a dyslexic learns to read and enjoys it, I do both and I read on a master level. I read 3 to 5 novels a month. It is also very unusual for a dyslexic to write much beyond their names. I write a lot, I am very verbose, I wrote a news letter, (weekly) for 5 years, I did commentary, thought for the Day, Ole Cars Trucks and Stuff (memory lane) and an number of other Sections as well. There are those of you that will say but you have spell check and they would be right but you have to know the word before you know whether it is correct or not, spell check is great but only if you can recognize it to be correct when you see it.
I was also asked to leave high school in the middle (January) of my Junior year, and was told that I could return in September. I didn't return I got a GED and I have two years of college. This is unusual as most folks that are separated from school are not the ones that go and get their GED or go on to any other schooling. I earned a very good living consider that I live in south Texas where wages are very low. The five years before I retired I was earning about $70,000 a year, not bad for a high school throw out, who is dyslexic.

I do not know that I am different. If I was sitting on a cloud looking down at myself and the rest of humanity I would not differentiate between others and myself.

From a social standpoint I suppose I am unlike others in a myriad of ways but that is very subjective and the characteristics are all so similar it is hard to say. DNA says I am unique. I have no twin, but I think we are basically like cattle , I might look differently talk differently, think differently dress differently, but as a member of the human species the mosquito will bite me just as readily as he will bite you. I am not really much different. My dreams are similar, my needs are similar, my illnesses are similar, my intellect is similar. I think I am more similar to the rest of humans than different.

I live in a predominately hispanic community and I am not hispanic, but most of my friends are. I guess that makes me different in my city.

I have a Masters degree and I am a woman which only accounts for 1% of society worldwide. I guess that makes me different worldwide.

I think teens are awesome because they have some of the most unique ideas, so that's why I teach them. I guess that makes me different among most adults.

And, even though I have brown hair and brown eyes and of average height and weight, so that makes me average, I have a split between my teeth and so, I can spit really far and I think that it's cool that I can spit far and I am still feminine. That's the clincher.

I am different among other people because my perceptions and thoughts about an event or spoken words will not be exactly the same as anyone else's. That is because I will sieve the event through my life's experiences and the concepts I have formed from them to make sense of it. No one has exactly the same life experience as me. That is one reason we are all unique.

I always look at people I pass on the street or in a store and make eye contact and smile. I'm always the one someone can call anytime of the day and I will "always" be there for them. I am creative and I make so many beautiful odd things. I write poetry, have written a book. I can visualize the beauty in something other people say is ugly. I'm upfront and sooooo blunt and prefer to step on someones toe ahead of time then to break their foot later.

Most people get nervous around what I like to call the popular crowd, (trust me they are still out there even after high school is over) You know what I am talking about, the ones you feel you need to impress.

I use to feel like I had to impress them but now thinking back on it I laugh. How many people do I still talk to who I acted popular around? NONE! But how many people do I talk to still, that I acted like myself around. almost all.

What makes me different is I have come to appreciate the person I am and I don't try to impress others. I feel that I can never call someone my true friend if I can't act natural around them. Many people find flaws about themselves and wonder how people view those flaws. I however appreciate my flaws and I can still find great people who appreciate me and all my flaws.

Well, for one thing I'm turning 21 in two weeks and I have no intention of getting drunk, or drinking at all for that matter during my birthday. I also still like Disney movies, and I'm not really all that interested in ever having sex even though I'd like to be in a romantic relationship.
