But sadly it is not only the BBC!
Try watching the pathetic phone game shows on freeview!
ALL these con shows should be axed. including the BIGGEST con show, Big Brother, or has everyone forgotten what happened last year?
They all just want your money!

I'm sorry but a couple of mistakes by the BBC does not make it a corrupt company. Where have you learnt about this apparent "deception of the UK public", from American media by any chance?? The BBC is a great company and with uncorrupted and trustworthy news and programs without all the advertising filth that other channels rely on. OK so the BBC might have a few influences from the government, but I'd much rather that than it being controlled by 'ratings' and consumerism and corrupt companies as in America. As soon as I get my own house I will gladly pay my license fee and continue watching the BBC knowing that I will be getting the REAL facts about current events and actual quality programs.

No you're not missing anything, I'm extremely irritated too !! As you rightly point out you HAVE to buy a TV license by law & money goes to BBC so if you find their shows/practices unnaceptable you have no option to back out - at least if you think Sky/NTL whatever is crap you can cancel it & stop paying ..... this would not be allowed in any other service you pay for that also has competitors in the same business as it would be viewed as a monopoly or unfairly subsidised & it can't be viewed a tax as you can't vote for it - disgusting .....

Extremely angery. It shows that we are paying a licence fee to a profit driven organisation, which is the opposite of what a public broadcaster should be.
The BBC has, for a long time, been a biased organisation all to willing to present popular opinion as fact (Live Earth, Live 8, climate change), instead of impartially. It should be shut down and started again

the best was the director general on channel 4 news."we will hold an enquiry once we set out terms of reference for one" I have never heard so much bullshit since Yes Minister went off air. I pay my licence by direct debit so am 6 months in front but an cancelling that. I recommend others to follow.
