By allowing or keeping too much of each others time and not enough time away for other friendships/relationships you can smother the other to where he or she leaves for a life of their own... seperate from you. Brother T.M.Murphy

But seriously, When someone wont let you spend time woth someone other than them:) Or they hang all over you and make you feel bad when you want to go somewhere withoput them and they want to go everywhere you go and be with you every waking minute of every single day:)

you can be smothered in a relationship by being with someone every moment. it can also happen by being with someone who tries to take over your life, ask you questions all the time, control you....get it?
