I was named after a character named "Brittney" on The Young and the Restless around the time I was born. My mom thought it was unique.. And now I have five girls just in my grade (which is only 200 kids) with the same name. And I hate that everyone spells it wrong.

I was named after a incident that happend years ago. A nurse by the name of Genene Ann Jones indjected 5 babies with a drug that caused them to go into respiratory failure and start to seisure. The nurses plan was to inject them with drug and when they started to show signs of heart failure, she would save them from death and look like a hero. Well when she injected the last baby ( 15-month-old Chelsea Ann McClellan ), she actually died. The nurse was convicted with murder. When my dad read about this horrific story, he thought he should name me after the baby that suffered the heart-breaking death caused by a nurse.
Here is an article that I pulled up. You can read it if you like, there's not much to read.
