if its your product you invented then use this as a sign to develop and work on your product more make it more apealing to the eyes of customers

One way to convert some unwanted item into cash is to donate the item to a non-profit organization and take a tax write-off for the paper value of the item.

An illegal way is to insure the item and then have it "accidentally on purpose" destroyed and get the insurance company to pay for it.

A legal way would be to attach something that people want to the thing people don't want and sell them as a combination deal.

That's three methods that initially come to mind. I am sure there are many more.

create a niche for it in the market - sell water because tap water stinks , sell air conditioner because the natural
air is unhealthy. Market the moon and you create an enterprise . The first and the last requirement - believe in yourself- the people are gullible if you have the marketing skills
