I get my period every two or three months. And sometimes I skip it for months. Am I less fertile because of this?

I would go talk to your Doc to see if you can be tested to see if you ovulate. Just because you have a period does not mean you actually ovulated( sorry) Hopefully they can refer you to a fertility Doc. they will run some non invasive test so you know for sure. Then you can make your decision on the results

Go to this site and see if you have any other of these symptoms besides the lack of periods

You always ovulate before you get a period. A normal 28 day cycle ovulates at day 14. But if you are skipping periods, you are skipping ovulations also. If you are trying to get pregnant I would get an ovulation detector, and better yet if your periods are that irregular I would talk to your OB/GYN. Alot of times it is cause for concern if they are that off.

I had irregular periods so I had to use a lot of ovulation predictor strips so I knew when I was ovulating. This doesn't make you less fertile, it just makes it a little more difficult for you than for women with normal cycles. My suggestion is to buy a large amount of LH predictor stips off eBay, it's much cheaper than buying them from anywhere else! Good luck to you!

Maybe, but maybe not. The thing is, you never know when you ovulate. I'd get one of those kits and figure out when you are ovulating. Then you'll know when to try to get pregnant, and when it's safe and you won't get pregnant.

No not necessarily...I was that way too and now im 36 weeks pregnant. There are things you can do to make it regular and then TTC...Talk to your doctor if you have concerns.

Don't count on it. You are as likely as anyone else to conceive
