No I don't think it's nice. Along the same lines as calling someone trash. When someone calls someone a redneck that is basically what they are meaning.
No I'm not one.
Yes I do know Gretchen Wilson.......She is just pretending to be one... lol

Live smack dab in the middle of Redneck Country. Am not offended if someone calls me a redneck. We all have a little bit of redneck in us and maybe that is why the term doesn't bother me. Have seen people in our area be offended if someone calls them a Hillbilly. We have some of them too. The difference between the two, I guess is: Hillbilly wears bib overalls, has a red hanky hangin out of the pocket and drives a Hoopdy. Rednecks drive pickup trucks.

Ever see the Rory Kennedy documentary "American Hollow"? Great docu - but that about sums it up.
I was born and raised in NYC - but I admit - there's a little bit of redneck in all of us - everytime we read the National Enquirer or the Sun while waiting on the supermarket checkout line. I'm still keeping fingers crossed that they'll find Elvis alive at a Dairy Queen.

I can take it or, leave it. I have been called a REDNECK.
most of the people that I grew up with, back home were called rednecks. to Me, from what I have seen over the Years, a redneck is, any white hardworking male who lives between the Atlantic ocean, Illinois, Ohio and, the Gulf of Mexico. fitting within this criteria, I have no problem with it at all.

I get a red neck when someone kisses mine. And a red face. And some other things get red too. And it is GOOD. Yes, I just said I'm one. It connotes that I respond to "stimuli".
Who the he(( is Gretchen Wilson? She didn't have anything to do with me getting a red neck. Don't listen to the people who say she did! It's not true.

I love the term redneck....we have a guy near us that has a fairly new car (less than 10 years old) but has bolted oversize handmade aluminium fins to the back - soooo redneck!

I are one! I guess deep down everyone has a part of redneck in them. It's not bad, it just means a temporary lack of sophistication at some point. Yes, I love her music and she's gorgeous too. You wanna go play in the haystack???

Many stereotypes are attached to the label. Rednecks are down home people. They like good homecooked food and family. My dads extended family is mostly "redneck". Very funny antics!
I was floored when one of them asked me (with a southern draw) to bring her a piece of blanket....lol....I had never seen one that came in pieces!
