where i work at theres all kinds of different ethnic groups, whites, blacks, chinese, and middle easterns. everyone seems nice and all except for the group of middle eastern people. they only wanna talk in their own little group. im white and i can go up and talk with everyone and mingle during lunch and were all mingleing except for the middle eastern people. i usual smile if i walk past someone and they smile back. then i can smile at a middle eastern and they wont smile or nothing. so its kind of hard to aproach them and start a conversation. whats with that? is it like there culture or something?

Alrite, I am middle eastern (high class ) some people answered and said I am Not like that beacuse they are higher class , some have mental issues from the war it takes 3 generation to wash out and also ,some people who are like that there parents cant even rite there own language ! So it is lower class culture so DO NOT MINGLE WITH THEM!! they could be middle eastern Muslim witch effects with the class they alredy are prob. marrin there cous. if there from a third world country so start by saying hi ANd DO YOUR RESERCH!!! say ur fascinated by there culture and tell them about what you have lerned and ask for guidence they would be honored!:)

No its not their culture to be anti-social; I'm middle eastern and I'm not like that. I mingle with all kinds of people and smile back. And I know heaps of people who are not anti-social but are middle eastern.
Maybe you ran into a group of wahhabis or something.

i am middle eastern and i am NOTHING like that..it may be cause they feel insecure, cause of all the media abt arabs being terrorists, and don;t want to experience anything.. they might be scared..
i am only a 13 yr old arabic kuwaitii girl but i mix with every one since i;m in an international private school and am very comnfortable around anybody there .
