Guru wrote that "many of our dreams are built on the envy of others". How true, and what a plague on society that is!
But these are not the right sort of dreams, Evan and Meandering Soul. Dreams are too often mistaken for flights of fancy which are easily put-off and shortly dismissed.
A person's dreams need never be shared 'cos they need no encouragement, not even from your closest friends; nor can they ever be buried by others 'cos they're inevitable.
Is there anyone out there who gives a damn, Malcolm? Does it matter if they do or don't?
So, who keeps your dreams alive? Good question, Curious Orange? If they need to be kept alive they were never really true dreams in the first place.

>>My loved ones! They are always re-assuring me, and raising my hopes that I will be able to fulfil my dream. I can't express my gratitude, because alone I would more than likely end up giving up!>>The other day a spanner was thrown in the works of my dream, my belief and confidence was put to an all time low. But luckily, I had my closest friends standing beside me to wipe away my tears and comfort me. They gave me the energy to pick myself up again! They know who they are, and without them..I might be thinking on a completely different wave length right now! Thank you, Kritie and God bless you and your kind efforts. Your a Godsend :-).
Thank You!
& Take Care!

My painting.
Not that I dream to become famous, I just want to leave some kind of message to others. Call it "my vision" if you like.

myself. people sometimes try to shatter my dreams but i manage to remain hopeful and optimistic. of course, my loved ones help me retain my sanity and cheerfulness in this crazy world as they never fail to cheer me up when i am feeling down and make me remain grounded when i have reached the stars.

Many of our "dreams" are built on envy for others. Envy is a very unpleasant state and a very unsatisfying way to live. I've worked on hard on ridding myself of envy. So, no one.
