Basically civil rights are there to protect you from an evil state in government. Rights written into law give guidance and recourse for people detained and/or charged by law enforcement. The equality part is for its application, that it be equally usable by all citizens of the state, not excluding any upon difference or race creed nor color. Rights are an ongoing evolution.

A person said at sometime or other something like 'a person of integrity needs no rules, those lacking integrity do.' The greater power that lacks integrity of intrinsic right is the tyranny that allow no rights to exist, the expression of the universal human good.

Equality is just the means that we have at our disposal to alleviate envy and anger.

I am quite fine with you having more -- including more rights. The impact of the anger and envy in one's life invalidates anything that fairness or equity can bring.

If you do attempt "civil" rights, you run the risk of ongoing anger, envy, resentments, jealousies, revenge, retaliation, etc. You also will experience the emotional and physiological toll for such a belief system. Each time you get angry or envious over the unfairness of life the chemicals that are released into your system are harming no one else but yourself.
