No. MLS is a fee for service organization. There are a number of FSBO that offer inclusion in MLS for a rather small fee.

You can get on the "MLS for free" or for a small flat fee depending on the state that you live in. HELPMESELL.com offers free MLS listings when you purchase a Premier FSBO System in any state. You get an MLS number for your home, you get a photo listing on Realtor.com, yahoo.com, helpmesell.com and numerous other high traffic websites. You also get a Talking Home Hot-line and other DIY tools from HELPMESELL. The listing broker normally gets 0%. You can still sell the home yourself and pay 0% commission. If an agent brings you an acceptable contract with acceptable terms than you would pay that agent the pre-determined commission which should never be less than 3% and 3.5% is recommended.

You have to pay. In order to be in a MLS and have a number assigned, you must list your home with a broker member of the MLS association.

There are some who will do this 'flat fee'. Prices I've seen range from $500 to $750 or so. For that fee, you only get the MLS exposure/listing, and no other real estate brokerage services.

You can't. The MLS is owned by the local Realtor Association and only those with membership and a real estate license can get their properties on the MLS.

If you want to sell it yourself....you might want to research "flat-fee" services in your area...but I would still recommend getting a Realtor unless you are a very seasoned buyer and seller.

As the other posters said, you have to have a Realtor put your listing in the MLS. The limited service agencies that offer to put your house in the MLS for a fee, they collect their money up front, put your house in the MLS, and get their money whether your house sells or not.

If a Realtor puts it in th MLS and does the marketing, you only pay if the house sells.

Usually you must pay, if you go to FSBO.com they have packages that will include posting your home in the mls.

Please be aware of the liabilities and risks when you sell your home without profesional licensed agent.

Some times is faster with the exposure by a Realtor, but most important is what will you do if you have a buyer who does not know a thing either?

Having you home in the MLS is just one of many advantages of hiring a Realtor!!! Realtors who do it for a flat fee aren't ethical Realtors in my opinion. That service is there for people who actually respect the real estate profession.

You can't. The MLS is the Mutiple Listing Service available to Realtors only.
