I plan on keeping some for savings, some for car insurance, and some for dates with my girlfriend. But what should I do with the rest. I'm 16 if that helps any.

Keep it deep in your pocket. It's okay to have money left over from one paycheck to the other......besides you'll be surprised how much more confident it will make you feel.

You forgot to include gas for your car. lol

at you age i would think about putting some in a Roth IRA -- u do not need the tax right off now and it will grow over the years and the interest is tax free. in fact that is what all teen agers should be doing with some of the earn money. falls under what i refer to as a kitty tax loop hole. you can open a Roth IRA for as little as one dollar and add to it monthly. with the max being 4000 a year.

Well, odds are that you're going to be going to college soon. Student loans are no fun to pay off. Stick all of it into savings. Trust me, it'll pay off so much in the end. There is going to be a time where you'll need it for something important.

Rent, bills easy stuff. If you have cash left over, why not put that into savings as well. As you get older the concept of extra cash fades away.

Spend & Enjoy but put back some in saving.
Try 50.00 a week if possible.

save for your next car.
your parents won't always provide a car.
save for the deposit on your apartment when you move out.
