The water of our house is very "hard". There are a layer of white stuff deposited on the granite countertop. Anyone know any cleaning solution that can remove the calcium stain from the granite?

Pour a bit of white vinegar into a bowl and nuke it until it is hot but not boiling. Drop a few paper towels into it and let them soak it up. Now place those paper towels onto the spot and come back in about 15-20 minutes. It should pretty well just wipe away. If not, try it again.

Go to a professional and ask for help. You cannot use anything with a lemon, lime, vinegar or ammonia base on your granite counter. It will destroy it. After you get this fixed, use warm water and a soft cloth daily and use only a product that is specific for granite to clean it.

Go to Home Depot and ask for help. There are granite counter top cleaners that might solve your problem. Avoid cleaners that contain ammonia.
