I am a big advocate of "Tonic Herbs" that are superfoods for strengthening the body. Here are some of my favorites:
Eleutherococcus senticosus- wu jia pi
Eleuthro is a famous adaptogenic tonic herb used for thousands of years in China to enhance immune function, protect the body from stresses and builds vital energy. It increases physical and mental endurance, builds blood and to improves memory. It aids in the recovery of over exertion of the body or mind. It is widely used to regulate blood sugar levels.
Gynostemma pentaphyllum- jiao gu lan
Gynostemma is used to slow down aging and to prevent feebleness and senility; to reduce fatigue, to increase vigor; to improve digestion; to strengthen the mind; and to improve sex functions. It generally reinforces overall health and is viewed as a virtual "cure-all" in Asia. Ongoing use of Gynostemma has a protective quality strengthening the adaptive capacity of the person at every level of their life. It also moderates blood sugar and reduces blood fat.
Morinda officinalis-ba ji tian-Morinda Root and Vine
Morinda is highly nutritious and is used in superior tonic formulas for strengthening the body's Yang function. It tonifies the Kidney energy and corrects soreness of the lower back and knees, and joint pain.
Atractylodes-bai zhu
Atractylodes is an important Qi tonic famous for regulating the digestive functions. It is a powerful energy booster and is widely used in China by athletes, in weight control programs.
Codonopsis pilosula-dang shen
Codonopsis is one of the most celebrated and widely used Chinese tonic herbs. It is mild and doesn't have any side effects. An outstanding Qi tonic, it supports the Spleen and Lung functions so that Qi is replenished. Codonopsis is also an exceptional blood tonic and a key immune system tonic. It's actions closely mimic Ginseng, but Codonopsis can be used daily without over stimulation or disruption of other body functions.
Cervus nippon-lu rong-Deer antler
Deer Antler is widely used in the Orient to strengthen all aspects of a person's life. It is a warm Yang tonic, although it is also known to contain Yin essence and is a major blood tonic. Extracts of Deer Antler have been found to strengthen the central nervous system and the heart. It is also widely used to improve mental power. It is widely used in Asia to strengthen adrenal, reproductive and brain functions.
Cinnamomum cassia-rou gui-Cinnamon bark
Cinnamon bark is a strong essence tonic that promotes circulation and warms internal energy; it is said that it leads energy back to the source, or Kidney. Cinnamon bark increases the Yang energy.
Glycyrrhiza uralensis-gan cao-Chinese licorice root
Chinese Licorice root is one of the finest herbs known. The Chinese licorice varietal does not have the nasty tendency of its Western cousin of raising blood pressure. It provides basic nutrients to the adrenal glands and helps those recovering from, or experiencing stressful conditions. Additionally, Chinese Licorice helps build and strengthen muscle, and it is a natural muscle relaxer. It is included in most Chinese formulations in very small quantities because it is said to harmonize all the ingredients in an herbal formula.

"Remedies"? A lack of strength isn't an ailment.
Do you mean supplements? If so, there are a LOT of natural items that can help build strength when you exercise... but most of them are to help prolong a workout or help recovery.
-L-Arginine is an Amino Acid that can help your circulation, which can help decrease recovery time and minimize the "sore muscles" the next day.
-L-Carnitine is another Amino Acid that can convert fat into energy
-Ribose, Royal Jelly, NADH, CoQ10, ATP, and many others are good products for energy (for the workout itself if you'd like... just try not to overdo it or you may do more harm than good)
-Protein Powder is a great idea to give the muscles the food that they need to work, and most protein powders have a good source of Amino Acids that are important
