President Bush claims that we should wait until September, when General Petraeus will deliver an evaluation of the situation in Iraq, before doing anything else, apparently. Why is this going to take until September?

Since the surge just started less than a month ago, they feel that September will give them a better realistic picture of the progress.

This is such an obvious delaying tactic, it don't take a rocket scientist to figure out the end game is Bush leaving office with a draw in Iraq, the biggest military blunder in the history of this country, but the Connecticut Cowboy don't care, 'cause it ain't his kid being blown up.

Just wait until September. He'll find some reason why we should wait until the new year. Then when the new year comes he'll say that we should end the war in an election year because it would be politicizing the war.
He will try to say these things with a straight face but that smirk will shine through.

So he can have his press release regarding the Iraq evaluation in NYC during the second week of September and exploit the memory of the deaths of thousands of Americans for his own political purpose

The "commander guy" is just doing all he can to leave his mess behind for the next pres to begin clean up.
I had my share of years with the mil and a few guys in Nam with the same "leadership" qualities were found shot in the back due to "friendly fire". No one knows how it happened.

Remember that whole surge thing. How about giving it time to work before you guys run scared. Or is it because the surge is working that we must hurry up and put a stop to it, because if America wins the Dems will lose.
