How much will i save in terms of power (%) if i switch from a 17" CRT monitor to a 17" LCD?

My Viewsonic CRT supposedly consumes 70 watts. My Samsung LCD supposedly consumes something like 34 watts.

That depends on your monitor kind (Flat or not , the manufacturer ...)

but usually 17'' CRT monitors are 2A ( Amnberag ), 17'' LCD monitors are 0.6A , so that will make about 70 % save of power.

17" CRT monitors will be about 70W

17" LCD monitors are in the 30W to 40W range.

So about 50%
