Because Bush does what his rice krispies and Cheney tells him to.........Cheney is making money and Halliburton profit line is 800% over what it was. Bush thinks he is George Washington reincarnated. Cheney thinks he is above the law and then both call the constitution a God dmmmmed piece of paper. Hmmmm.......now tell me again how we are taking all this democracy to Iraq.

Bush had always wanted to right the perceived mistake by his father (for not taking Saddam out while he could) and was looking for an excuse to do it and he found that excuse in 9/11. His father being the more intelligent of the two (in fact most every one Is) knew not to weaken Iraq to much as we needed then as a counter balance , to keep Iran in place. To stop the spread of fanatical Islamic movement. Bush the Idiot has facilitated the spread of the Islamic fundamentalism in The middle east and that Iraq also will be come an Islamic state after US troops are withdrawn and has provided a training ground for terrorist for generations to come.

To win elections, Karl Rove knew that a wartime president is rarely removed and that he could then label all challengers as unpatriotic.

To keep the price of oil high, one of the odd effects of these Middle Eastern wars is to suppress petroleum exporting capacity and to consume vast ammounts of fuel. Both of which raises fuel prices.

Finally an intelligence and leadership failure regarding WMD where there were not any.

A response to 5):

Saddam Hussein knew that his people were animals. He knew how to govern his people and he did it effectively: through fear. By nature those Iraqis are just flat violent and scandalous. So to answer your question yes it helped Bush's ego to take him out but hurt everybody else.

For the Felafel's. That and the great turbans. As far as anything political, we went to get rid of Saddam Hussein. Now that the mad man is dead, we need to get out.

A shame.

ok, I'll try not to call you a name in reference to your ignorance factor on this.

Saying you are ignorant, is not an insult. I am ignorant on brain surgery, and you are ignorant on the middle east, and quite possibly world affairs all together.

We went to Iraq for several reasons. Try reading them before you draw your blind partisan, liberal rhetoric believing conclusions

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2002/10/20021002-2.html

---

We went in initially to dispose of saddam, who according to the world (and people like nancy pelosi), was a danger to the welfare of the world. He ignored U.N. mandates for over a decade, and DID (I can argue this) have WMD.

That is why we WENT to Iraq. If you would like an education on why we are still there, let me know.

\
----

WMD?? how about nancy pelosi who claimed she had 12 years on the intelligence committe and sure he had them? Is that proof enough? What about Bill CLinton, bombing Iraq for the same reasons? What about Saddam's nuclear scientist, admiting he had them, and was working on nuclear weapons technology? What about Saddams top air force officer, admitting he flew them to syria?

WHAT WOULD YOU TAKE AS PROOF????

to place a strategic base so that we can make a claim in the middle east and have one more integral post for a World Government.
