Two demonstrations in the 60's---the first was in Washington DC during the Viet Nam war. (oops conflict)..I came within about 2 FT of being hauled away in a paddy wagon by the DC Police but thank goodness I am VERY SHORT and the cops missed me and grabbed someone next to me... then a year or so later, during the hey day of college demonstrations, I was one of an 11 person "committee" who led a demonstration at my college a few weeks before graduation....it lasted 4 days and taught me SOOOO much ...now that I am in my mid 50's I look back on those days and wonder where I got the GUTS to do all the stuff I did WAY BACK WHEN.

Not that comes to mind.

I tend to work behind the scenes and actually get things done.

Demonstrations do little normally to accomplish anything.

Twisting an arm here and there, whispering into the correct ear at the right time, those tend to make things happen.

The day you hear of me being at a demonstration is the day you see me leading that demonstration.
