Provera just causes you to have a withdrawl bleed, it doesn't induce ovulation. If you weren't ovulating before taking the Provera it won't make you ovulate now. You need another drug to make you ovulate such as Clomid.

I'm taking Metformin, for PCOS - this medication is supposed to help me ovulate. I was also on Provera but that is just to bring on a period not bring on ovulation, which is why I was switched over to Metformin. I also have little pains and cramps on my left side but it's for the PCOS that I have. Maybe you should speak to someone who specializes in fertility and/or a gynocologist and take some tests to find out why your not ovulating. There could be many different reasons, but I don't think a regular DR would have all the answers .. mine was totally clueless when I updated her with all of the things that are going on with me, which is why she's a regular family Dr, not a Gynocologist!
